Quaker Sampling III, like its predecessors, Quaker Sampling I  and II, was inspired by the samplers from Ackworth School, one of the most famous Quaker schools, located in Yorkshire in northern England.  In addition to the chart, the package includes  a short essay on Ackworth School and its needlework.

The model was stitched in cross stitch over two linen threads using one ply of Cranberry silk thread from Gloriana Threads on 36-count Maritime White linen from Lakeside Linens, Inc.  I used two 6-yard skeins with no thread left over.  I strongly recommend that you buy three 6-yard skeins to guarantee that you will have enough thread from the same dyelot.  Gloriana Threads have 12 plies per strand.

Stitch count: 379 wide x 116 high
